Actions to reduce the environmental impact of transport and logistics services as part of an integrated supply chain are gaining momentum. Policy makers strive for ambitious reduction targets and reasonable frameworks. Businesses see this as an important area of competition and are taking responsibility in decarbonizing the logistics chains.

The forum "Global green logistics: Making emissions accounting work for business" hightlights current initiatives and projects focused on harmonized logistics emissions accounting. Experts and business leaders will present on and discuss the following topics: the first universal carbon accounting method across global multi-modal logistics supply chains by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC); deployment of green transport - towards eco-labels for logistics (DG MOVE project LEARN); global efforts to put logistics emissions accounting into practice.
